Open: Seasonally from March through October
Hours: 8 am to 6 pm April through September; 10 am to 4:30 pm in March and October. Note that new entries end an hour and a half before the park closes.
Comal Park is a 116-acre day-use park on the shores of Canyon Lake. Located near the town of Startzville, Comal Park is a great way to enjoy the southwest end of the lake. Visitors come to picnic, play games, swim, boat, kayak, paddleboard, and lounge on the beach.

- Kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals (through Paddle Canyon Lake)
Comal Park is operated by WORD (Water-Oriented Recreational District of Comal County), which warns that during summer, the park fills up quickly and closes when capacity is reached.
Park rules include the following:
No drop offs
No exit and re-entry
No walk-ins
No unaccompanied minors (under 16 years of age)
No glass
No Styrofoam
No Jello shots
All dogs on leash at all times
No cascarones / confetti eggs
No personal charcoal grills
No drones
Water shoes are recommended
